Additionally, this area forms the northern endpoint of the western road loop. From the Broken Beach parking lot, it is only a 20-minute drive south to reach Kelingking Beach Nusa Penida, making this site a mandatory anchor point for any efficient day-trip route.
5. Visitor Expectations: Perfect View & Manta Spotting
Unlike coastal spots with beach access, there is no physical pathway down into the cove at Broken Beach Nusa Penida, and swimming is strictly prohibited. The vertical drop is over 30 meters, and strong ocean waves surge continuously through the stone arch, making any attempt to climb down hazardous.
Instead, the main activity here is completing the full 360-degree walking path along the rim. This loop takes about 15–20 minutes to walk at a steady pace and offers distinct angles of the ocean archway. On clear days when the ocean surface is calm, stand along the high western ledge overlooking the outer bay—giant manta rays frequently swim near the surface close to the cliff edges.
